What do I need to apply for a HR or HC licence?

Each licence type requires a number of criteria to be met before being able to apply. For truck licences, you will generally need to hold your C licence for more than 12 months as well as pass numerous tests, including the RMS Knowledge Test. Contact our team to find out more.

What is the difference between a constant-mesh gearbox and a synchromesh gearbox?

A constant-mesh gearbox requires the driver to double de-clutch between gear changes. Whereas a synchromesh gearbox doesn't. Learners who complete their test using a constant-mesh gearbox will receive an unrestricted heavy vehicle licence.

What is a restricted heavy vehicle licence?

A restricted, or “B” class, heavy vehicle licence means drivers are only allowed to drive trucks or heavy vehicles that are fitted with an automatic or synchromesh gearbox.

Do I need to do the training for a QLD licence as well?

No. NSW and QLD have a mutual recognition program that allows you to simply take your licence and qualification certificate into the QLD Department of Transport and your licence will be recognised.

Do you offer training courses for businesses?

Yes. We can organise sessions to have your staff trained in operating forklifts and other heavy machinery.
